Studying from the comfort of your own home can be very accommodating, as you do not have to leave the house, and will just need to stay in front of your PC to take your classes.  Sounds like fun, right? Not always.  Although this approach to studying looks more convenient, this is actually more difficult than it looks.  Unless you can focus and avoid distractions, such as TV, telephones, etc, online studying can be such a daunting task.  Imagine having to go through online classes and at the same time watching TV.  But then, if you are one of those persons who do not get distracted easily, then this type of studying can be helpful and advantageous.

Campus College

The best thing about this traditional method of getting a diploma or degree is that you study together with other people that you can see and talk to.  This can be a big motivation boost, as you get to see your friends, learn the same things together, and go the cafeteria, library, and such.  Also, there are fewer distractions when in an actual classroom than in a bedroom when studying.

Either approach has good and bad points.  It is up to the student to figure out which approach would best suit his needs.

a) Faculty Members: The faculty members are of supreme importance in an institution. They determine the quality of study. If the faculty is good, then the quality of education would also be good. Faculty is thus the determining factor of an institution and so, people with merit generally prefer those institutions which have a good faculty. The faculty determines the institutions and its standard.

b) Prior Records: The prior records of an organization are important since it helps us to understand how the organization has succeeded in maintaining the standard. The prior records include the performance of students, their overall merit and the places they have acquired in the world. This provides a view of the overall performance of the institution and gives a glimpse of its previous records.

c) The students and their performances: Based on the performance of the students you can make a decision whether to join the college/ university or not. With the performance of the previous students you can have a fair idea. Some students with an outstanding performance may be considered. Their results make a difference to the decision of the newcomers.

d) The overall image of the college: If you are studying in a reputed college then make sure to know the overall image of that college. The image includes the status of the students studying there, their behavior and whether they have made any significant career development. This would ensure a better prospect for you.
