After doing a course of a pharmacy technician, one can get a job very quickly. According to an estimate which was made in the year 2006, the median hourly earnings of the pharmacy technicians are $9.35. The average earning has been estimated to be between $7.89 and $11.58; while the income of rest 10 percent is lower than $6.92.
Statistics of Salary : There is also a higher level of earning and that has been estimated to be more than $14.64. From a survey which was made in the month of May 2006, the following came out:

Duty of Pharmacy Technician: The job of a pharmacy technician involves 24 hours duty; this may range from looking after patients to cleaning and labeling bottles. They can attend phone calls and study the prescriptions thoroughly before delivering them to the patients.
Places of employment: A pharmacy technician may get job in various government and private sectors. They can be employed in the Government Hospitals and private nursing homes. Other places like grocery stores, pharmacy stores and institutions also hire pharmacy technicians. The pharmacy technicians may be employed for full time and part time shifts. While looking after patients, they require giving a 24 hours duty.
The trained students get more preference: The employers look for more learned pharmacy technicians rather than fresher. Since the skills gained from the pharmacy technician course provides an insight of the job, the trained students are preferred to the rest.
