Student wouldn’t have to go to their college and can learn in their own time but how effective is this type of education? Right before seriously considering these types of undertaking, be sure to do your research and study the pros and cons of this system of education. We are in a world that said to be a technologically moving forward type of world due to the ever-growing popularity of new technology and the ease with which things now a days are done.

From online shopping to online dating, up to the simplest things that can be done, almost everything can be achieved with a push of a button. Kids most especially, make use of the Internet technology for their research and studies and social lives and what not but today, there is such a things as online universities. This is a really interesting advancement in high-speed education. What is lost here is the personal experience that can never be replaced by any type of technology out there. And what’s more, one can never really be sure that the online degree that they are pursuing is a legitimate online college degree course.

Although there are various sites that offer thousands upon thousands of online degree courses, these would some how just be a label of some sort to add to someone’s resume and would not really be learned first hand from a professor simply because the student is merely understanding on his or her own what he or she is reading from the computer screen.

Is Online College for You?

November 11th, 2008 by theProfessor

With the introduction of online universities and online colleges, people have wondered if it’s for them.  Most common question is “Will the diploma I get from an online university treated equally with diplomas from campus colleges?”  This is answered with a resounding YES.  Online Colleges, even though the courses are taken from home right in front of a PC, merit the same criteria as a regular college or university.  These online colleges and universities are also accredited and are acknowledged as real colleges, the same way a campus college is accredited.  It is not the issue of “I just took my degree in through my PC” attitude since taking an online class promotes knowledge and wisdom the same way as Campus College does.

Traditionalists might contest that obtaining an online degree is a shortcut taken just for the sake of getting a degree and should not qualify, but I disagree.  It is not our fault that we are in the age of internet revolution where the internet has become a major part of our lifestyle.  Nowadays, we can search for almost anything we want with just the few clicks of a mouse.  Hence, if the internet can bridge the gap between self study and getting a diploma, then by all means use it to your advantage.

Our society is changing, and our way of life is changing.  However, this should not stop us from gaining more insight and wisdom to the world around us.  Whether its Campus College, or online college we must strive to better ourselves, and a diploma is a proof of that.
