Job responsibilities of various IT professionals:

Programmers: The main job of a programmer is to code and test keeping the design specification in mind. This is basically an entry level job, therefore, these people often works under appropriate supervision. The senior programmers, who are more experienced, maintain and if necessary also repair software applications. They further support in creating test scripts as well as implement and document those tests.

Analyst Programmers: These analyst programmers are especially skilled in testing, coding and implementation of configuration changes to various software applications.
