The course of Cosmetology covers few basic areas. These areas are such that people from all walks of life are benefited. Mainly the students are profited from the excellent skills that they acquire during their course in the Cosmetology School. In the United States, the students are required to stay in the boarding and pursue their studies. The course mainly consists of the following:
Fundamentals of Cosmetology : The fundamental principles of cosmetology are taught to the students. The students are required to make themselves accustomed with the basics of cosmetology; the simple procedures to make someone prettier and attractive. The program includes preparation, manicure, facial, chemical services, shampoo, haircut, wet styling, and comb out.
Manicuring and Relevant Theory : It comprises the presentation of the nail technology, its old-day use and present day practice. The topics which are taught are terminology, application, and workplace competencies. This is one of the most important pasts of Cosmetology and the student is required to know this part extremely well.
Advanced concepts and practice of haircutting : From time immemorial hair cutting is considered as an art form. In the cosmetology school, a student is taught about the basics of hair cutting and the various forms. Hair cutting should be such that people from all walks of life can admire. The topics on utilizing scissors, razor, and /or clippers should therefore be studied carefully by a student in order to be a good hair cutter.
Salon Operation Training : A part and parcel of cosmetology is the salon operation. One should have an excellent idea on how to operate a salon and keep a record of the people ushering in. this is mandatory and since people with a very sharp mind can actually keep these things back in memory, it is always recommended to keep them recorded in hard copies for future reference.
