The importance of college essays in the admission process cannot be overstated. They often turnout to be more important than even your SAT or ACT scores. Be sure to put a lot of thought and hard work into the preparation, organization and actual writing process. A well planned and neatly executed essay will surely give you a flying start in the race for college admissions.

1. Keep the question in mind and think of ideas. The idea should be small and personal, at the same time, original and creative. Avoid international and moral issues, and traumatic events. • Make a plan and stick to it such as an outline. While writing the body of the essay, don’t digress or deviate from your theme. Build on the specifics and explain your original points. Don’t overburden your essay with too much information. Remember, the reviewer will probably not have more than a couple of minutes to read through it.
• The close is the most important part. This is where you gather all the threads and tie them to make an attractive package. Try to leave the reader with a thought. This is the last part of the reviewer’s interaction with you. So give him/ her something to remember you by.

All said and done, each individual will have a marked writing style and what works well with one, might not find favor with another. The best bet is to be true, honest and sincere. It is sure to make your essay a winning creation!
