College is a place where you get an optimum chance of exposure into the outside world. You get to know more people, know more about life and its ups and downs. There are things which you should remember. They are listed below:
a) You should mind your behavior : Behavior is the primary factor which ensures that a person can stay comfortably with other roommates. Adaptability is thus a principal factor which enables a person to mingle with other members. This adaptability is a thing which one must inculcate. Although this habit develops at home, one needs sufficient help from elders. If a person sees his elders adapt easily, then he/ she easily imbibes the trait of adaptability. This makes him/her a better citizen and also a responsible one.
b) Learn to respect others : This is another vital thing which one must remember. If you can respect others, you may easily be able to find respect from others. This would ensure a better position in your room. The roommate would then respect you. Your attitude speaks a lot about yourself and thus if you behave nicely, then people will definitely like you. By this, you can get friendly warmth from others.
c) Make yourself explicit : It is very important that you make yourself explicit, through words, actions and deeds, so that others cannot find fault with you. If there is a problem, make your point clear. In case of any mess-up, just avoid the situation. This would only help you to find a better situation in which you can deal better.
d) Your study and your aim, don’t forget : Even if you find, after compromising so much with your roommates, that things are not falling into places, then decide and go for a change. This would help you to concentrate more on studies and make your future brighter.
