Theories of Criminal Behavior

The course at SBBCollege mainly focuses on criminal behavior. It trains the students so that they have a superior understand of the criminal behavior, from a (biological, psychological, social perspective). The course lays emphasis on the past and present theories. Apart from these, the students usually concentrate on prevention, control, and treatment of criminal and delinquent behavior.

Criminal Justice and the Research Methods:

In this course offered by SBBCollege, the students are required to gather, analyze and report social data. It is based on established scientific theories and the entire course is scientific in its approach. There are both qualitative and quantitative research techniques; these include including data collection, experimental and non-experimental designs, measurement procedures, sampling methods, and interpretation of research results.

Issues related to Law and Judiciary:

The students of this program at SBBCollege are taught the basics of American Legal system. Attention is paid to the basic topics i.e. jurisdiction, policies, and procedures of courts in the administration of criminal justice. The students learn the basic principles of criminal law. This includes throwing light on the criminal behavior for specific crimes and the diverse exculpatory situations for criminal liability. In this course criminal issues are also taught along with democratic principles such as the legal rights of the incriminated in criminal proceedings.

The Process and Criminal Justice Systems:

The main aim of this course is to establish the relationship between the various components of the criminal justice system, like broad political, economic, and social issues and define the value of such relationships. This course also scrutinizes the diverse components of the criminal justice system, like police, courts, corrections, and the juvenile justice system.

Just like any other fields of study, the Criminal Justice System also has an ethics code which provides an overview of the historical record of the general trend of corruption and thorough analysis of unethical practices.
