Corporate student loans have lots of benefits and therefore borrowers are more and more attracted towards these loans. These benefits are:

a) Loan fee: The loan fee is also automatically financed and it ranges from 0% to 9%.

b) Repayment period: There is a repayment grace period of 12 months provided to the borrowers after graduation.

c) Repayment schedule: There are two types of repayment schedules available. One is level payment where monthly payments are made during the tenure of the loan. The other option is graduated repayment where the payment starts at small amounts and gradually increases through the loan term. However, you need to mention what type of repayment schedule you prefer. If you do not mention then it is automatically taken in level payment.

d) Reduction in interest rate: There are many schemes in which you can get a lower interest rate while repaying for corporate student loans. These include

1) Direct Debit Discount: If you choose to pay monthly installments by directly debiting the bank then your interest rate is lowered by 0.5%.

2) On time payment discount: On making 48 timely payments your interest rate will be lowered by 0.5%

e) Co-signer release request: Those of you who have a cosigner they can release the person after 36 repayments. However the release of the co-signer is subject to the co-signer release policy of the lender.

f) Repayment option without the fear of penalty: No penalty is charged if you have delayed the payment of the loan principal.

g) Hassle free procedure: If you are applying for corporate student loans then you do not have to fill up forms like federal loans. There is nothing as such application deadline and you can apply at any time. Many of these corporate lenders have their own websites where you only need to fill up an online form free of cost.
