• National Merit
  Scholarship Award: Started in 1955 as a program to recognize students
  with high academic achievements, this scholarship awards a $2500 to
  undergraduate students. The requirements for this scholarship

  • Partake in the PSAT/NMSQT®
    exam for the specified year of high school before junior year
  • Obtain relatively
    high scores in the PSAT/NMSQT to qualify for consideration
  • Maintain full-time
    enrollment as a high-school student with standard progress of curriculum
    towards graduation, with an immediate fall enrollment full-time in college
    upon high school graduation
  • US Citizen or legal,
    permanent resident who will become a citizen at the earliest time possible

• Pride Foundation
  Scholarships Award: This scholarship provides those students in
  the LGBT community with the financial support needed for their college
  education. There are many different scholarships available, but
  you only need to complete one application. The requirements for
  this scholarship are:
  • Resident of Alaska,
    Idaho, Oregon, Montana, or Washington
  • Individuals who
    identify with LGBT, or who have LGBT families, or who are straight-allies
    of the LGBT community
  • Demonstrated service
    to the civil rights of all people

• Burger King Scholarship
  Award: This scholarship provides financial awards of $1,000 annually
  to high school students who will be attending college. The requirements
  for consideration are:
  • Full-time high school
    senior in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico

    GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Currently work an
    average of 15 hours per week for 40 weeks each year
  • Exhibit involvement
    in community service and/or extracurricular activities
  • Show financial need
  • Obtain nomination
    recommendations from both a school official and an employer
  • Begin enrollment
    by Fall 2008 in an accredited two or four-year college, university,
    or vocational/technical institution
